In this phase you really cut the carbs. The objective is transforming the body’s energy source from burning carbs to burning fat. Simply put, you are allowed 20 grams of net carbs per day. Net carbs are the total carbohydrate intake minus the carbs contained in fiber, sugar alcohol, and glycerine. Because those carbs aren’t digested they don’t count. If your vegetable serving contains 5 grams of carbs but 2 of those grams come from fiber, then only 3 grams of carbs actually count.

So what can you eat during this stage of the Atkins Diet Plan? First come the proteins. Most protein food is in. For example, this means you can load up on eggs, meat, and seafood. But there are exceptions. You can’t eat breaded meats such as veal schnitzel or meat loaf. You must hold the toast and jelly, perhaps the coffee, the orange juice, and the hash browns (the onions are OK but not the potatoes). Can we still call such a breakfast bacon and eggs?

Some vegetables are OK; others are not. Be careful to count your vegetable carbohydrates as most of your carbs come from the veggies. Here is a list of permitted vegetables in approximate order of carbohydrate contents, starting with the lowest: Bean or alfalfa sprouts, greens such as lettuce, spinach, radicchio, and endives, herbs, celery, radishes, cabbage (or sauerkraut), mushrooms, avocado, cucumbers, asparagus, green and wax beans, broccoli, cauliflower, green, red, and jalapeno peppers, summer squash (including zucchini), green onions, leeks, brussels sprouts, snow peas, tomatoes, eggplant, artichoke hearts, onions, okra, spaghetti squash, carrots, turnips, water chestnuts, and pumpkins.

There are different researchers who have different view points on Low Carb Diet, so you can’t take it as complete fact because no doubt researchers will uncover more information in ten years time. But here’s the issue that some research highlights, you lose most of the weight through loss of water and muscle tissue. This means you have less muscle burning through calories now, so you need to eat even less and once you come off of the low carbohydrate diet it’s highly likely that you’ll put the weight back on and maybe more. You need to burn fat cells by exercising more whilst cutting the calorie intake in your diet. Consistency is the real key here, not sudden change.

You need to keep to a balanced diet, that means good quality foods and a wide variety of them. You can also choose to top of your vitamins with vitamin supplements, as long as you stick to the recommended doses this is a good idea because it can be difficult to get all the vitamins and nutrients you need today due to how food is processed and how long it has to survive in storage. Low carbohydrate diets lack the nutrients you need to actually be healthy.

Losing and gaining weight in cycles has been identified as a health risk. You need carbohydrates to maintain healthy muscle tissue, as well as proteins, vitamins, and nutrients.

So is there a way to lose weight fast? Well yes, but not as fast. You need to make plans for your diet and workout plan. A gradual change is a good idea as it makes it easier to adjust your lifestyle permanently. If you diligently cut out calories and take regular exercise you’ll be on the path to losing weight. Once you’re on that path it is your foundation to achieve more. You can’t expect to instantly lose weight because otherwise every other person with a weight problem would be doing, but you can expect to get on the right track and achieve more and more success over time by staying committed to achieving results.

Don’t cut all fats from your diet either as some fats are necessary for your body to function efficiently. You should aim for an easy target to begin with such as just thirty minutes of exercise when you would otherwise be doing something else. Hold yourself accountable for it too otherwise it will be just another exciting start ending badly.

Nutrition is just one of them and the Raw Food diet is probably the most “natural” program there is. The Raw Food diet isn’t just one diet plan, but a general name for various programs which advocate eating food in its natural form, avoiding processed and industrialized dishes, and going back to a more harmonized way of eating. There is no doubt that there is some merit to the raw food diet. As expert nutritionist Yuri Elkaim shows in his program, Eating For Energy, there is something terribly wrong in our society healthwise. Not only are we getting fatter and fatter, but we’re also getting sicker. Despite tremendous advances in medicine, Cancer, Diabetes, and Heart disease are on the rise. This is something which is going to affect each and every one of us or our loved ones. All this disease and obesity has a lot to do with our modern lifestyle. It’s easy to see that less developed countries don’t suffer from these diseases as much as we do. Naturally, they have their own problems, but it seems as if we’ve beaten many illnesses only to let others take their place. And this time, it’s our fault. Already, industrialized agriculture is producing lower quality food and stuffing our meat with antibiotics and other chemicals. Raw Foods dietists believe that we’re upsetting the internal nature of the food we eat, the food we are “supposed” to eat through years of evolution. A raw food diet is usually a vegetarian, if not vegan, diet. You do not eat meat and dairy and eggs. You get your protein from nuts, beans, soy, and other plants. And yes, there are a lot of plant protein sources to be found. The same goes for fats and carbs. Many experts believe that we can get all the nutrients we need from plants, herbs, nuts, and grains. We can even build muscle tissue while doing it. There is no doubt that a lot of people lose weight when going on a such a diet. A lot of people also report and improvement in other aspects of life, from allergies, through fatigue, to an improved wellbeing. It is the food we put inside us that fuels us forward, that determines how much we’re vulnerable to disease and weight gain. While I may not give up my meat and eggs entirely, there is certainly a lot to be said about incorporating a lot of the principles in the Raw Food diet into your day to day life.
